Exclamation My (humongous) gentle giant.

I just got my Calanthe Triplicata x Masuca hybrid in the mail today, and Christ it's big! I've attached some photos - one of it compared to my dresser (where it was too big to fit on, as I have 11 other chids on it ), and one compared to a 4.7"/12 cm (in diameter) pot. And apparently, it can grow even bigger, and it doesn't have a spike yet. Can you tell I'm surprised with the size? I expected something big-ish, but still expected it to fit into my 5.5"/14 cm decorative pots, but nooooo. I'm happy though - I prefer the medium/big chids (although I find the smaller ones adorable, and own a few myself.

It won't let me post more than one photo at a time from my phone, so here's the second pic with the 4.7"/12 cm pot.
