Great Find of the Week!
Default Great Find of the Week!

I picked up these two phalaenopsis at TJ yesterday.

I never buy these large phals from TJ because they almost always look horrible. I believe due to shipping.
Plus they are always in 5 in pot and cost over $20, which is still cheap IF the quality WERE good.

Yesterday I was picking up some grocery at one store then I wanted to stop by this other TJ that I normally do not visit.

Well, well, this other TJ was loaded with large phals in good condition and all were in 4 inch pot, which coast $12.99. I was so excited like a little kid at a candy shop.

Both plants have double spike loaded with flowers and all the spike tips are still actively making more buds.
Yay!!!!!

They really brighten up and bring spring mood into the living space.

Downside is that both plants are huge! oh, well...can't be perfect.

Oh, both plants came in plastic pot with bark. Roots all look super good!

Wow. I need to go to that TJ's! The best grocery store offerings for orchids here in Virginia seems to be Wegmans. Both of those orchids you found are stunning. Thanks for showing off those beauties.

Thank you all!

I do think I got really lucky.
I buy phals in bloom from different sources, but never seen ones in such great conditions at a supermarket (and super cheap!)
