Good to hear! I normally order orchids for my birthday in January; this year I held off because of the weather. I understand what you mean about pent up demand because my preorder for Ecuagenera is a bit extreme.
Will you be attending the Palm Sunday Show in April or be heading over to the SEPOS show? You can't go wrong with either since both shows will have neo vendors.

Our society got an invitation to show at your society's show for Palm Sunday--which does conflict with my plans to attend SEPOS. We're going to decide next weekend if we will participate.

You'd have to tell me which slide for me to be sure which one you are referring to Katrina, but I suspect the one you are pondering is the Barkeria. All the ones for which a name tag was prominently posted I did name. Unfortunately, some of the tags were hidden amongst the foliage. Had it just been me there, I would have checked into moving a leaf out of the way or getting "up close and personal" with the display. But being that there were a fair number of people there, I did not wish to set a "bad example" for the masses -- especially as many had bulky coats or large handbags.

Several vendors said they did very well. But others said it was "okay". I suspect that location was a factor -- as the vendors closest to the show entrance (with the chill drafts when people entered or exited) were the majority of the "okay" crowd. Another factor, I'm sure, was simply having the "right" plants at the right time.
Overall, it was good for a Sunday.

We likely passed each other at some point, Matt. I was there that day as well.

#20 in the slide show. Just after the Phrag and before the Psychopsis...cutest little thing. Is it Barkeria whartonia? I have one but haven't bloomed it yet.

Michigan State Orchid show pictures
Thanks for the info on the red Catt. I tried to zoom in on the tag but it remained blurry for me.
