Strand Pictures
,I went to the strand today and saw my first flowering Rigid Epidendrum and a bunch of vanilla and what I thinks is a Noctrum. Didn't find much but had a great day in the swamp anyway!!!

Wow, that is amazing! Something I have never experienced. While growing up, The Strand in our town was a movie theater. For you, The Strand is a "live theater." Yours is way more fun. Is this a famous orchid site? Pardon my ignorance, but sounds like this is a well known haunt. kiki-do

Hi kiki-do, The Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve has the largest concentration of Royal Palms, Bromilads and of coarse Orchids and more. Here is a great site to learn more. Friends of Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve, Inc., Florida Everglades Parks, orchids, canoe trips, boardwalks and more.
