MC, the dendrobium speciosum will grow fairly large. Is it mounted on cork, tree fern, wood slab, tree branch, or otherwise? I much prefer to grow orchids mounted, though I do grow in a greenhouse where watering is not much of a problem. Watering will be your biggest concern, but the den is more or less forgiving of a learning curve.

It's var pedunculatum, the dwarf subspecies. Mature pseudobulbs supposedly range anywhere from the size of a thumb, to the size of a cucumber. Hopefully mine stays more towards the thumbs size. It's mounted on a cedar plank about 6x10 inches. My mount orchids are sprayed everyone 1-2 days. I don't have a greenhouse to grow in, all my plants are in an east-facing windowsill. Most of them seem pretty happy with the arrangement.
