A teacup phalaenopsis from Meijers! It was perfect, deep blackish purple and survived transportation in sub-zero weather... and I saw a peloric mini at the local grocer Wednesday night.... I just might pick it up now that I know that the adventageous flower blooms are "normal"!! (thanks, Daethen!)

I've been hunting a Cattleya rex for years. First I found a seedling that the grower was nice enough to carry with him from Texas to California and then I just bought a blooming size one last weekend. I'm overjoyed! Last week a friend broke off a huge piece of her vanda, a piece of a dendrobium, a vanilla plant and three phals. All of these were NO ids so they'll be a fantastic surprise.

No orchids yet this year--but tomorrow is the MVOS show in Dayton, so that will change (lol).
I do have begonias and other tropicals on order from Glasshouse Works in Ohio--does that count??

I'm jealous of anyone that gets to go to orchids shows. I rarely get to Phoenix these days to do anything but I would go for an orchids show.
