Hi Catherine, can't find anything about this Dendrobium. Have you got any pic, please?

Ah ok, I know it. A friend of mine grows almost only Dens and he has 3 or 4 plants of D. cucumerinum. Not the easiest plant, I have to say.

Nope, it's not a cucumnerinum--this plant is almost 2 feet tall, very long and thin pseudobulbs. I bought it out of bloom, but the dried spikes that are on it originate from the tips and the top few nodes of each lead. I've posted a request for info thread about it in the dendrobium section, and I hope to be able to post a pic either late today or tomorrow.

A picture would be of great importance. No trace of that name from google. I will try the Kew website.
Kew returns no such name message.

Yes, I'll post a pic on the thread I put in the dendrobium section--most likely won't get to it until tomorrow.

We are at the Jersey shore on vacation and took a trip to Waldor Orchids up in Linwood. Picked up 2 phals, 2 paphs, a catt, and a dendrobium. Am moving in with my partner at the end of the month, and she has rooms with lots of lights so I can finally have catts and dendrobiums. When I get back home I'll post pictures. You have to make advance arrangements to visit their facility. When you are there you can wander the many greenhouses to find what you want. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

I have to admit over the last few weeks I''ve picked up more than I expected to. They are:
Paph micranthum var eburneum - young plant
Phrag Jason Fischer - blooming size
Phrag schlimii - blooming size
Phrag besseae - bloming size
Phrag kovachii - small seedling
If anyone would have told me that I'd be attempting Phrags this year I would have told them that they were nuts.
Now here I am with four of them...

I'm not sure when my last confession was soo...sedirea japonica about a month ago, neofinetia falcata x3 [regular, Hisui, Amami Rubi Ne (as far as I can tell regular/white with ruby roots)], and dyakia hendersoniana all from a show up in SF today.
