Wow! That mushroom is awesome! You did a fantastic job crafting it. Even as an adult, I'm a sucker for things that glow in the dark!!! Lol!!

They look ever so slightly better in person lol.
They do glow! However the glow of the clay only lasts for about 5 minutes.
It was still a fun, cheap, and easy project.

Thank you. It's nice to have a little validation. I'm really one of the only people who sees them.
I'll be a sucker for glowing things till I die I'm pretty sure lol.
I actually have two other types of mushrooms too that glow.
But the oyster mushrooms are my favorite.
These reddish ones.
And these small whitish ones.

Ok, admit it.....what have you bought lately 2014 edition!!
I did not intend to bid on this set of Dendrobium moniliforme. But if I won the bid, I would acquire three plants for less than Us$12.00. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I LOVE the mushrooms. They are very convincing.
My list for 2014. Maybe seeing them here all at once will keep me in line for a while.
Angraecum aloifolium (2)
Bulb. lobbii 'Kathy's Gold'
Phal. bellina (a biggish one)
Phal. violacea 'Gulfstream Blue' JC/AOS x self
Phal. vioacea 'Magnificient' x Phal. lueddemanniana 'Woodlawn'
Phal. lueddemanniana 'Woodlawn'
Phal. hieroglyphica
Phal. Tetra Green
Dtps. Green Pixie
C. Fort Mott 'Fantastic' x C. milleri 'Breckenridge'
C. amethystoglossa (Severiano x Orchidglade)
Slc. Hazel Boyd 'Debbie' (2)
Pot. Creation 'Summer Choice'
Slc. Precious Katie
Sl. Polestar
Blc. Greenwich 'Misty Lime'
Zga. Sweet Jade 'Sweet Cheyenne'
Zygo noid
I've sold 5 or 6 this year. That balances things out a little. Several on the list were given to me or trades. But, yikes. Didn't know there were so many new ones.

I bought these last weekend during the orchid show of Arenys de Mar (+/- 40 km from Barccelona)
Phragmipedium beseae in bloom
Phragmipedium caudatum (two fans but it has never bloomed yet)
Vanda tricolor (seedling in 8 cm pot)
Cattleya forbesii in bud
Straurochilus guibertii
Miltassia Shelob 'Tolkien'
Slc. Angel Kiss in bloom
Sedirea japonica
Vanda A'Pura (V. tessellata x V. sanderiana)
Encyclia (I haven't figured out yet what her surname is)
Encyclia radiata
Maxillaria tenuifolia
Tolumnia variegata
Barkeria spectabilis
Here are just a few pictures. I didn't have time yet to photograph them all.
The pictures are from Encyclia radiata, Vanda A'Pura and Barkeria spectabilis.
