Here's the first preview of Orchid Album for Mac.

I'm curious how many people would be looking for a Mac App Store version, rather than just downloading directly from my site. Either way the app would work the same, but a Mac App Store version involves a bunch of extra rigmarole from Apple.

A quick update on Orchid Album for Mac... I've made huge progress over the last month, and the app is now feature-complete!

All that's left is localization into other languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese) and a bunch more testing.

Assuming testing goes well, the app should be available sometime in April. I'm also planning a Mac App Store version for those that prefer downloading software from there.

I've updated my web site with a bunch of new screenshots and information about Orchid Album for Mac.

The language localizations are complete and testing is progressing well, so the app will be launching soon. If you'd like to be notified when it launches, there's a sign-up form on the page.

For those of you who collect plants other than orchids, or who have gardens you'd like to document, this week I've released a new iOS app called Plant Album. In addition to tracking plant details, watering schedules, and creating log entries, Plant Album also allows you to group plants into gardens. The app is localized into several languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.

I've just released the Orchid Album for Mac v1.4 update. More about that in today's post. There's also a bug fix version (1.7) of the iOS app, and I'm currently working on an update for the PC version. Enjoy!
