Oh wow.... What horrible news, all of it. So much bad news to hit at once. I can't think of anything to say that doesn't sound woefully inadequate. I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this.

My grandfather had mesothelioma, it's a devastating diagnosis. I really hope for you and your family that your Dad's doctors can successfully control it.

In any case know that you are not alone, your OB friends are always here for support.

So sorry to hear of this. Stay strong, try to think positive and know that we are here to listen (yes, I think I can say "we") when you feel you have to unload. Sending best wishes your way.

thanks for the thoughts ...

The visit with the Dr. went well yesterday I guess all things considered here. It seems it is such a rare disease that there is not much data on it as he says and chemo will be the last resort type of treatment. 3 opinions now is enough.
I worked with my dad from 1978 to 1990 and I did a lot of work around the stuff myself. We didn't think much of it at 1st to be honest. Years later, after we had been digging in all the insulation and tearing up steam lines, tearing out fire brick etc etc. for a decade, they started to require those areas be sealed off and regulated to limit further exposure. Duh we used to have burlap bags of asbestos laying around like it was nothing.....I don't know what to think really....heavy sigh is about all I can come up wth

I do know my plants took a hit when I couldn't get home to tend to my heater....they got cold and almost all the buds I had blasted. Yay....phals are all well and spikes growing.

Good news? Grannys home got a home care nurse and getting physical rehab and!!!! my old neostylis lou sneary that's never ever freeekin bloomed in over 2 years Ive had... I found 3 spikes growing on it 3 spikes!! woot...
