If it is damaged, hopefully it is insured.

It is insured. That is at least a ten year old plant. The money cannot even cover that. What an awful end for something that thrived so long!

I hate to point out the obvious, but for someone whose online name is 'Optimist', you are being VERY pessimistic!
Please take a deep breath. If tracking shows it is still in Wisconsin, or wherever, it is most likely not sitting in some frigid mail truck in a parking lot. Instead, it is likely in a building. Keep checking the tracking for updates. If no change by Monday, contact USPS ( https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfi...n!input.action), contact cusomer service, provide the tracking number, calmly explain the problem, and see if they can locate where your package is stored.

It's dead. I threw it in the recycle bin. It would have been a huge, gorgeous plant. I have learned my lesson. I wish I had known the rule about not buying after November 15. Either way, the seller sells some nice plants and I will buy from him again, but at a different time of the year.
I want to say that there is a difference between Pessimism, and seeing the world in a realistic way. I am still pretty optimistic.

How terrible!! So it wasn't sitting someplace warm... Ordering in the winter is always such a gamble. At this time of year I only order within the Netherlands (since it's next day delivery) but even then I'm always crossing my fingers hoping that nothing goes wrong!

Well I was so hoping for you, sorry we didn't mean to sound nasty just was really hoping it would make it through. I do the same thing when I'm bowling, even if I suck I still hold out hope I will do better next game .
Was your big plant a division?

Don't worry. The whole event felt like a slap in the face (not your words) but I came out of it with some "street smarts." I will buy from him again, but I don't exactly trust him so I have to follow a plan that does not assume he has any common sense.
I do not know if it was a division. I didn't ask, and probably won't.
