I'm giving this a bump to find out if the Orchidgeek site is down again. A short-term closure was announced a couple of weeks ago, I think, but I haven't been able to get on for a few days now. Good thing this board is so active and interesting!

I like and use both Orchidboard and Orchidgeeks (I'm Catt Mandu on 'geeks, BTW; one of these days I'll change one of the aliases so they match).
Yes, I noticed an outage yesterday. The announcement of the planned outage a week or 2 ago was something I appreciated. This one was unannounced so I assume it was not planned - a "fail" of some sort. |

I also enjoy both although this one is by far the more active. I was actually a geek first until I found this site, which I enjoy much more.

Yes, Catt Mandu, I figured out it was you posting here with and alias, and gingerhill too. I am a multiple forum person myself, I belong to 4 or 5 fishing forums, but I m to lazy to maintain different persona on different forums.
I have enjoyed geeks for years, but this board seems like a fine and friendly place. We are lucky to have alternatives!

Fred announced Geeks would be down but the "down" time didn't come as soon as expected. It didn't hit until several days later than first posted. I think he said it would be down for 48hrs...but don't quote me on that time frame. ??
