I too was looking over the 'chids as I watered and discovered the Aerangis citrata has a new second spike! First one is only about 8-10" long (it can get to 16" so I read). Aerangis hyaloides has maybe 6 or more spikes just starting and the Cischweinfia sheehanae that has been in spike has added many more - I think the count is now up to 12! And these guys are supposedly fragrant. All the other spiked plants are still on schedule and still growing.

Mine is Kinda Long Sorry!
In Bloom:
Phal. equestris - also growing a new leaf & root
In Spike:
B. nodosa – also growing lots of new roots
P. bellina – just finished growing a new leaf, has 1 existing spike not in bloom, and a baby spikelet that hasn’t grown since I got it in July.
L. Santa Barbara Sunset ‘Showtime’ HCC/AOS – Came with 3 spikes, 2 blasted. Remaining spike grew to about 24” over the summer. I can see buds developing in sheath. Plant also has 3 new growths, and lots of new roots.
Den. Paskel Kuning ‘Hawaii’ – first time re-blooming for me, crazy new root growth
Den. Frosty Dawn – buds are forming on 3 old growth canes including the original & on last year’s growth. This year’s growth has none. It’s growing lots of new roots.
Epi. Pak Girl x Pacific Embers - Purchased last June in bloom. Will be first re-bloom for me.
Aerangis luteo-alba rhodostica - Project 4 plant arrived with spike nubbin & is now nearly open.
Actively Growing:
Lc. Hwa Yuan Beauty ‘Spice Girl’ – grew 3 new leads over the summer, currently sending out lots of new roots
C. Summer Spot ‘Carmela’ – Brought back from the Big Island in September 07. Grew a new growth which is nearly mature, is now growing 3 giant new roots.
Odcm. Mayfair ‘Golden Gate’ – growing a new growth. This plant suffered a severe case of sunburn and dehydration several years ago. I think it needs to be divided and repotted this spring.
C. Chocolate Drop ‘Volcano Queen’ - also brought back from the Big Island Sept. 07. It just finished growing a new growth and is currently growing new roots.
Colmanara Wildcat ‘Carmela’ – growing a new growth & new roots.
Slc. Lakeland – the nearly dead s/h experiment plant, growing 2 new growths and lots of new roots.
Pot. Hawaiian Prominence ‘Carmela’ – grew 3 new growths over the summer, Currently has a new lead and new root growth.
Dtps. Kenneth Schubert ‘Purple Martin’ – growing a new leaf & new roots.
P. Bright Peacock ‘Maple Bridge’ – growing new roots.
Paph. Delenatii – is either growing a new leaf or a bud, too soon to tell.
P. Flower Child ‘Carmela’ – this plant has a damaged crown & has grown 2 new leaves that are each acting like 2 separate crowns. It looks really weird.
P. SIO’s Night Leopard – this is the other half dead s/h experiment plant. Grew a new leaf & roots over the summer, and is started on another new leaf
P. NOID White Magenta Lip – growing a new leaf & 2 new roots. Some bumpiness on the side of the plant but it’s too soon to tell if it’s a root or a spike.
P. NOID White – grew a new leaf over the summer & is starting on another one.
Dtps. Malibu Merlot – grew a new leaf over the summer & is starting another one.
Bllra. Marfitch ‘Howard’s Dream’ – has 2 new growths. Is in quarantine due to arriving from grower with scale.
Resting
Den. NOID nobile
Den. jenkinsii
Sederia japonica – found a mealy bug on this one last week. Was a TC with scale infested Bllra.
Den. fimbriatum oculatum – small keiki given to me by my son this summer
Blc. Mem. Vida Lee ‘Limelight’ – bloomed this summer
Epi. NOID – small keiki given to me by my son last week
Milt. NOID – also a victim of sunburn & dehydration a few years ago. Not loving life right now.
