Default November Status Ross

Since Shakkai started it, I will join in. Here is what is going on so far in my 2 grow areas (not all is well so to speak).

The upstairs window box area -

-Bllra Peggy Ruth Carpenter is still in bloom and still sending out wonderfull fragrances!
-Epidendrum ellipticum is in spike once again, and new growth is by far fatter than before, no doubt due to the MSU mix regime.
-Sedira japonica appears to be spiking. The growth appears to be different from root growths.
-Brassia Dorris Bergstrom has 2 new growths (more blossoms to follow I am sure)
-Laelia briegeri has new growths, so I am sure blossom spikes will follow in spring?
-my phal NOID (the white one ) is now in spike after two huge new leves this grow season.
-Potinara Titan's Fire has sent out a second growth this season as well as lots of new roots. Looks like a grow cycle rather than a bloom cycle.

Orchidarium

The spike on the Tuberolabium (Saccolabium) kotense has decided to bolt and has turned red. Sure it's done.

My Cischweinfia sheehanae has outdone itself! It started as maybe 4-5 spikes. Now it's up to at least 7 that I can identify and potentially 9 spikes. This has become a blooming monster. Way to go, guy!

My aerangis luteo-alba project plant is steadily growing and the 2 spikes are growing daily. Not sure when this will end with blooms.

My aerangis citrate is also progressing and the spike is several inches long. Much longer than when I got the plant.

My haraella are mixed in that the mount that wa sparayed with insecticide is still not doing well blossom-wise, but leaves are wonderful. The othe rplant is doing well, both with leaves and with blossoms.

Thanks Shakkai for the idea. This is wonderful way to pass the afternoon.

Ross, My Sedirea japonica appears to be starting to spike as well - maybe its the time for it?

How long now has it taken so far for your Aerangis in spike? My mystacidii x modesta cross has started to spike, but its still less than an inch long. Just wondering how long I still have to wait for it to mature? It sounds like it takes them a really long time from spike to flower...

All in all, it sounds like you're going to have some nice flowers coming! Can't wait to see pictures.

I really enjoyed doing this as well... it was nice to take some time and really look at each plant and see what was going on.

Project 4 Aerangis luteo-alba arrived in spike (2 small ones) and now the spikes are at least 5" long and still getting longer. The Aerangis citrata also arrived in spike and the spike is about a foot long and still growing!
