My small haul from SEPOS Show 2013
I disappointed myself just a little by coming home from the final day of the SEPOS show with some money still in my pocket, but I picked up a total of 9 plants across the 3 days. Had a fabulous time, all in all, and the honor of meeting in person Call_Me_Bob and DelawareJim. I'm looking forward to next year.
From back row, left to right: Phal bastianii x sib from Little Brook Orchids (4 spikes, 2 in-bud); Paph. delenatii sm x (P. delanatii v. Dunkel x self) from Parkside Orchids; Phal tetraspis white w/ lavender lip from Little Brook Orchids in-bud (I've repotted from bark into spag, charcoal and styro, as the roots weren't so great); Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' (Neof. falcata x Rhy. coelestis) from Waldor Orchids, in-bloom and sweetly scented (that's actually in a ~2" plastic pot, inside a larger clay pot); front row: Sedirea japonica in-bud and 3 varieties of Neofinetia falcata from Seed Engei (at least 2 appear to have spikes started).

I accidentally left one out of the group photo. This is Phal. lueddemanniana var. delicata 'orchidPhile' CHM/AOS, 2 spikes, from OrchidPhile. Carrie suggested it was due for repotting, so I put it into a 3" slotted pot with CHC, charcoal, a few pieces of styro peanuts and a little bit of small river pebbles in the bottom to lower the center of gravity.

Below are the Neofinetia falcata or Fukiran from Seed Engei, which all came nicely potted in the traditional spag mound. At least the leftmost 2 have a spike started and I understand June is the typical month for these to bloom. The varieties from left to right are: Fugaku, Suruga-fukurin and Shutennou. Besides the 2 that are obviously variegated, there is a hint of tiger stripping on at least a couple leaves of the latter (thanks to Call_Me_Bob for noticing and pointing it out to me).

Nice choice of Neos ! They look very healthy as always with Satomi's plants!
Shutennou doesn't have tiger variegation so it might be just a leaf damage

I saw it in person, and I don't think it is leaf damage. I was there right after jay bought it, and noticed that, so we asked Satomi what was going on, she said to watch it as it might be starting to mutate.

Thanks. They had a tremendous variety and I'm a total beginner with these. It was really hard to pick just a few. Satomi's talk was very enlightening too. I really should have taken my extra money and bought a few of the decorative pots, but I'll take care of that another time, maybe order from their website. None of the plants I bought were terribly expensive, although they did have pricier ones. I can't remember the price of any one plant (I swiftly removed the tags when I got home, before my GF could notice the prices ), but for the 3 Fukiran and a Sedirea japonica I paid a total of 125.

Interesting, thanks. Yes, the very subtle stripe is only on 2 leaves.

I was really hoping for a bellina from Ooi, but everything he had were much smaller than the ones I already have not blooming. And I almost grabbed a Phal appendiculata, but I procrastinated till the last day, by which time they were sold out. I should have bought one of those mannii too (did you go back and get one?).

Yep, I'm pretty happy with everything. Also picked up misc. supplies from Kelley's Korner, a bunch of 3" slotted pots (glad I put off ordering them from the web), a bottle of Physan and a little bottle of Dyna-Grow Pro-Tekt silicon.

The plants on their website are in a different "class" than the ones I can see in this post... those are very similar to the plants sold on seed engei ebay store, usually younger plants. On Seed engei main website, they have bigger and more prized plants, therefore the price tags difference
But like many, I enjoy getting cheaper plants (which are always nice anyway) and more of them

Great purchases!
How were the rest of the plants on the table at Little Brook? Did only the one have bad roots?

The only other one from there is the bastianii and I haven't pulled it out of the bark yet, which appears to be fairly fresh, but that one looks very healthy and happy up top. And with 4 spikes, what's not to love. The 2 spikes that haven't budded yet are the newer ones, judging by their lighter green color. Those should be ready to bloom by the time the budded ones finish, which will give me a longer lasting display.
I was only suspicious enough to check the tetraspis because it seemed a little loose in the pot. Turned out the good roots were only the ones at or near the surface, but those seem viable and sufficient to support the plant for now. I have them just under the surface of the spag. I'm going to give them some KelpMax at the next watering to stimulate new roots. Their plants generally looked pretty healthy.
