Some type of Vanda, but definitely not a Neofinetia, it's much too large and the leaves of a Neofinetia are not like that.

Anyone else got any advice on bulbo care, or know what kind the vanda is?

On the Bulbo, it likes its feet wet. Don't ever let it get totally dry.
There really is no way to tell what the vanda is without seeing blooms, even then it may be difficult.

Would it be OK to keep the bulbo in a dish of water? I've heard some people do this, but one would think that would rot the roots. Would it be better just to water it often and let it drain properly?
