When orchids attack!
I could go on and on about how amazing orchids are (in fact my friends would tell you that I often do) but today I learned a new thing about them. They can jump off shelves and attack people.
Today I was sitting on the floor trying to get a good angle for a picture of a paph that had just bloomed and I happened to be sitting next to the selving unit that is crowned by the most awkward phal I've ever seen. I had just finished taking the pictures and the next thing I knew I was covered in bark and there was a phal sitting next to me. The weird thing was, the first thing that came to mind was whether the plant was alright then that I was lucky to not have gotten a clay pot to the head.
