I have been waiting for the free shipping event for a year now and just when I gave up and quit looking they had it.
I missed it completely and had stuff picked out for it and everything. Poo...
I hope you all take advantage though of this offer, the plants I got from them are doing wonderful!

Funny you should mention them, I lost a bid on Doritis pulcherrima var coerulea, and foud it on the Maui site, so as a travel companion I got the Onc. lanceanum as well. Both came in spike, the Doritis's broke off in shipping, both for 10$ each! So even though it broke off the spikes were a nice supprise. They both need to be repotted but I don't want to mess with the oncidium yet, the Doritis was terribly root bound, but it also looks like I got two plants in the pot! So tlhat was anothe bouns. The only thing I'm not too sure about is that the tag says Doritis pulchella Coerulea. Is there a difference between that and pulcherrima? I also missed the special, oh well.

Erin, that tag just has a typo
The specials they have are nice...but their regular prices are so low, it's still okay

Ok I went back and realized that I'm confused. I must have hit Maui Exotics in my search, but it turns out that I got these guys form Big Island Growers. It's a conglomerate of tropical growers and orchid growers. These are from Bergstroms Orchids with-in the site Big Island Growers. Sorry for the mis-information.

I had the opportunity to visit their greenhouse back in 2004. It's a reallly nice place, and the owners & staff are very nice. Lemee see if I still have some pics around. They have some nice species orchids, and they're hybidizing too.

Thanks Terri!
It's nice to see someplace that I will probably never "see"

I had the opportunity to visit with Bill Bergstom at his greenhouse last fall and bought lots of stuff. Most of it has died. His operation is pretty small and very dirty (my opinion). His plants are not labelled till he sends them out. He mislabelled just about every plant I got. That probably explains the discrepency.

I remember you talking about that trip. Well I hope mine live, should I forgo the bloom on the onc and repot just to make sure all is good and well? And the Doritis was in bloom when I got it, it looked like an accurate bloom for what I though I was buying, and the foilage is very similar to my other Doritits, just smaller. I repotted it in a bark and spagh mix enhanced with physan and KLN.
