I'm off to my brother's house for Thanksgiving dinner. I was assigned to bring a cake to celebrate Thanksgiving, a wedding anniversary, and several family birthdays in November (including mine!). You can see that the flowers include several orchids blooms from my greenhouse (oncidium twinkle and Tiger Crow "Golden Girl" , darwinra charm 'blue star', and non-orchids (geranium, cyclamen, azalea, mosaic plant).

The flowers are in a little shot glass with oasis and sunk in a hole in the cake. The green ribbon and a few of the leaves are made of fondant.

Thanks everyone! Actually my birthday is next week, but what the heck - we just started the celebration early! The cake was a big hit with my family. It tasted as good as it looked. I've been eating non-stop for 2 days now - I'm stuffed.
