When I got it, when it was re-potted, bloomed etc. etc. I too really like it and use it a lot.
you also don't get any post-purchase registrations from RHS but very few of the new crosses are commercially available within 3 years anyway. I update roughly every 3-4 years. In the meantime it is absolutely invaluable. My only wish is that it goes mobile and gets a cloud data storage facility. I worry that if my computer crashes, my data is gone forever.

PS - a good way of bringing down the cost is to have your Society sell to its members.....

Are you uploading data into the program? I'm curious because I know there are a lot of functions that I haven't played with yet!

The only data I have uploaded are individual photos.
However I have copied my OrchidWiz data into Windows Cloud. Hopefully if my computer crashes irretrievably I will be able to download data from the Cloud. Haven't a clue whether it would work....( and don't want a crash to happen ! )

Do the photos go to Alex so he includes them in the next update? Or are the photos you've uploaded just stored there?

I take photos with my cell phone, then e-mail them to my e-mail address. I then upload to my orchid photos folder on the hard drive.
In OrchidWiz I upload photos from my hard drive using OrchidWiz functionality. I haven't sent any photos to OrchidWiz/Alex yet.

You can send photos to Alex via drop box to be included in the program. And you can also put your own photos in your plant info that is stored for each orchid you own. I include a photo of blooms each year as well as other info. That is just for me to use. I always have my computer backed up to an external hard drive so that hopefully I don't lose everything. As well, you can make a printed PDF file of everything you entered in your OrchidWiz plant journal.

How did you manage to contact orchidwiz? Can you share their email? There's no way to contact them on their website.
