Thanks for the tip! I'll see what she says. I'm guessing she bought a program to make them compatible.

It's definitely not cheap, and so the questions are "do you get your money's worth?" and "does it have that much utility to you?". For us, both answers are yes. You can find pretty much any taxonomic information free on the web (IOSPE, IPNI, Tropicos, ThePlantList, Kew, etc.), so if that's your main interest you may not be able to justify OW. But for one place to go for all things orchid, it's really hard to beat OW and we wouldn't be without it.

Two suggestions re the cost. One is that there's a "lite" version, OW Express, that's cheaper. I know it has far fewer images, but I don't know what else if anything is not there. The other is that if you can get in on a group order, you may be able to get a significantly better price - one of the societies we belong to did this.

I just bought it with the discount juts about 2 weeks ago. There was an email from the OB with the info on the calendar and it included the OrchidWiz discount info, but I can't find it. Suggest you try OrchidWiz Support <support@orchidwiz.com>. There is a code that you enter on the checkout page. I got the CD in the mail about 1 week later. No problems installing on Windows 7 and have been entering my collection since.

Thank you Carrie,

I got that same email but now I've lost it and the code. I'll try the orchid wiz support. Happy New Year!

From the email:

The code to enter is “OBOARD9” (the first letter is an “O” as in “Orchid”) The promotion code is entered at the end of the page where you enter the customer address. The final amount will be reflected in the last page, after the user address is entered.

Was looking at purchasing OW, is this discount and code still valid?
