Wow thats something, love it

**Blooming Time: September. Flowers are large, fleshy, shaped as 5-pointed stars; they have an elaborate circular fleshy disk in the center. The flowers smell like carrion and are not offensive if blooming outside. Flowers are 10-16 inches across.**

Outside?

LOL!

Yes it stinks, like a dead rat!!
BLahhhhh!! But so far only if I stick my nose into it, which I do often

Thanks for the link Gin!! So its not a cactus after all. Its a succulent Asclepiadaceae family.

I dont know what it it but I had one and had to get the rid of it after waiting forever for it to finally bloom. There is a picture posted by Gin shows the flies on it and they lay lots of eggs. ( That is what the white stuff in the center is (yuk- I so hate worms) and i got that everytime it bloomed.

Its taken on a funkier smell, and is quite strong. My belly don't feel so good anymore. Maybe I'm just hungry?
The smell has filled the entire first floor, though it is not so offensive until you approach the plant. From far, it smells like a man who has not used deoderant and eaten too much spicey food. From close, I can't describe except to say its stomach turning.
