What a sweet post! Now that I sit back and really think "Why orchids?" ... I have to agree with you. I have made two really close friends right here through the OB. Stephi and Roly!

Stephi and I met through the OB, and now meet up regularly for lunch and a trip to Waldors or Longwoods! We'll also be exhibiting together this coming march at the Philly Flower Show.

Rolando on the other hand is my enabler! He was the one who got me hooked on orchids and also the person who pushed me to make it into a small business. Ive yet to meet him in person, but I'm going to fly down to Redlands one of these days!

Then there are people such as Reid Kawamoto, the Off family and of course Harry and Andy! And most importantly everyone I've met here! I love being a supporting part of this community. Everyone is eager to help and genuine when it comes to orchids.

I built my collection up and over 250 plants with everything from Cattleyas to Draculas and am now beginning to thin it out. Simpler is better. I'm beginning to realize that it's quality over quantity - id rather grow 75-100 orchids into quality specimens to show off and be proud of, rather than a mess of 500 plants in every nook and cranny of my house and back yard.

Thanks to everyone for all the guidance over the years and the support through my orchid growing endeavors! I love this place and everyone who is active here on it.
