Well I'm still about, still loving plants and life in general. Here's some pics from the Local North of England Orchid Society show I attended (relatively recently).

Had a lovely time with wonderful people and learnt some new things!

I was also a GOOD girl! Managed to walk away with only one plant (Dendrochilum filiformis), stilll didn't stop me drooling over the new addition for some time after we got it home (but then don't all Orchid nuts do that!? )

Hope you enjoy
(PS: Names of plants may get added later)

Looks like it was a nice show! I'm curious about the last one (red blooms) I can't really figure out what it is!

I'm amazed at your will power to be able to walk away with only one. I'm hopeless at shows, I'll spend all the cash I brought....

~ The willpower in me is.... reasonable!
But it does help when you are in the middle of a big sort out Thus, no point endangering too many new babies. (I need to win a lottery or have some sort of massive windfall me thinks)

As for the Red one at the end it is
Cochlioda Noetzliana
Very sweet beautiful thing. Proper Flame colouration, a little stunner

I'm mostly reasonable when it comes to ordering online, but since I go to so few shows (1-2 a year) I totally lose it there, lol

lol - Easily done! Surrounded by all those beauties in one location up close and personal! And with the Plastic Fantastic of today that means you don't necessarily need the cash first, so easy to get carried away on the green boat of Orchid Adoration

They don't take Plastic Fantastic at dutch shows... Cash only! SO I can only spend as much as I bring, but I'm so afraid of running short if there are 'must have' orchids that I end up bringing more money than I planned, and then spend it all...
