I'm so glad I'm not the only one who got the Paph purpuratum! Maybe we can compare notes and such?

Just a lovely haul you got there, Josh! Love the Gigi too. AND the Gotris, forgot to mention that. My little Gotris lookalike is dying... I'm going to stop buying mini phals from the place where I got it from, because another one I bought from them ALSO died for me - for no apparent reason.

Rowan, I try my hardest to make sure I get cheap but good plants.

Camille do it! The Gotris is a great orchid. Mine is right around 10" tall. I just love it. I'm super happy as it is super happy flower and spike. I love the gigi too. It doesn't have the same bloom pattern of as a Sogo Vivien as they are super compact and dense together. The foliage is killer isn't it?!

Mutant, thanks. I also got the A. didieri. My paph seems to be a while out from blooming but who knows!

Well, so is mine (especially since it got pretty crushed during the shipping) so I think we might learn a thing or two on our ways to future bloomers.

Thanks silken.

Mutant, that sucks. Mine was packed great and I admit I was worried about it with free shipping. I should of taken pictures but I just wanted to see them. Lol

George got back in touch with me. The reason I got the purpuratum was because his hainanense were pretty small so he sent a blooming size plant instead. I originally wanted one so Im not complaining.

So far no bud blasting on the two mini phals. In fact, the second bud on the Sogo Gotris has opened even flatter than the first.

Got both of the Phals repotted today. Cleaned the leaves of the Flora Gigi too. I got almost all of the aerial roots of the Gigi in the pot. It only had one that was about 3" long so it just folded perfect.

Here is the second bloom on the Gotris.

Now, this girl had TONS of roots. The long aerial root in the first pics actually went down in the pot, turned around and came out. It was almost 15" long!
