The flowers aren't the prettiest out there, but paired with the most gorgeous leaves, it's a must have. What is not visible in my pic is the deep purplish red underside of the leaf - just wonderful. I didn't know they looked like that until I got mine.

Is yours the standard form? I'm guessing the alba might not have the purplish underside to the leaves?

Great group of plants. The leaves are so pretty on your paphs. You could put a dab of isopropyl alcohol on that black spot to disinfect and dry it. That sometimes works if you don't have something else on hand. Good luck!

They are. I'm such a sucker for the mottled leafed Paphs.
Oh, I've cut the lowest of the leaves away and part of the one beneath (since the black spot had spread to it) it, used some hydrogen peroxide on the cuts and then sprinkled with cinnamon. I let the cuts dry out before potting it and I've kept the medium away from the treated area. So far so good.

Boy your finger sure went crazy clicking on growers websites! I just can't believe how much you bought at once, that's an insane amount of orchids! How about some new pics of your growing area? Your windowsills must be jam packed now. I wish I could order so many at once....
Love all the Paphs, the great thing about their foliage is that the plants look amazing even out of bloom. The blooms are more like a bonus!
Funny you had issues with Popow, mine have always come perfectly packed and even blooming plants arrive in pristine condition. Perhaps it's because I only buy 1-2 at a time (on ebay usually) so there's plenty of space in the box for more paper.

*coughs*
Yeah, quite so... I just counted them... I now have...70 orchids... O.h. M.y. G.o.d.
BUT, seven of them (six of my older NoID:s and one of the most recent purchases) will get new homes, this means the other nine that are incoming will have a bit more room... I'm in desperate need of pedestals and some hanging flower pots to fit them all. I ran out of windowsills and kitchen table a while ago. It'll be less of a problem when they're out of quarantine, but now it's crowded...
The mottled foliage Paphs are just gorgeous, and I'm so happy I got a Paph. robinsonii as a freebie from Asendorfer, it has such a gorgeous foliage, a perfect match to my little bullenianum ceramensis where little robin has silvery green leaves with darker green spots and little ceramensis has darker green leaves with silvery green spots.
I know that plenty of people have had much better luck than me when it comes to Popow (a member of the Swedish orchid forum told med the same as you did). I think I just had bad luck and I'll definitely buy from him again which I've told people too. I don't discourage anybody from buying plants from him.

70???? Geez, you got more in a month that I accumulated in 5 years!! A shame you are giving away your older Noids. They are the ones that started it all, but I guess I'm a bit of the sentimental type.
Could be that your package from Popow simply had a rough trip, who knows.
As much as it hurts, I have decided to be reasonable for now in my orchid purchases. The schwerter order (shrunk) is on the back burner for now as is the one at Lucke. First I'll get 3-4 plants from Elsner, and then I want to order from Claessen (an awesome grower). Then I'm going to a small show/sale at my local orchid society in 2 weeks.

Camille I bet that you end up with more than you can afford. No doubt you will leave the orchid show with an armful!! Well, here's hoping anyway.

I know.... I think I cut it down from near bankruptcy to simply 'too much'! I don't have high hopes for the show, it's going to be really really small.
