Beware Kai Najda

Beware when buying plants form Kai Najda on eBay. He's from Germany. I sent him 260 Euros and a further 19 Euros to mail them to me. They have never arrived. Despite around 20 emails he tells me to ask customs where my plants are. Why would they know? UK customs don't inspect plant deliveries from Europe. If you would like to be treated in such a wonderful way here is Kai Najda's email address so you can let him know how you feel. Wow, that's a lot of money!

I googled this person (no less that 277,000 hits), and he is apparently a very, very well known scammer, that keeps reappearing under different names. He starts a new account, then makes a lot of purchases to get good feedback, and so can better catch people off guard when he starts selling.
His feedback already raises a red flag IMO, too many negative comments related to plants not arriving or not what they were sold as.

And according to a german forum a case has been filed against him, and victims should contact the prosecutor in charge of his case. But don't know if people outside of Germany can do that. Ermittlungsverfahren gegen Kai Najda

I'm calling Mastercard on Monday but they will say that it was paid via Paypal. Surely if the money came from Mastercard they should take action when the purchase was over £100? Makes sense to me but things are never that easy.

You should be able to dispute the charge through Paypal too, you should go poke around on the website.

Even though we had agreed to wait until the frosts had past it's beyond ebays 45 day limit and they wont do anything about it. Paypal wont do anything either. They say it's an ebay issue.

But I think paypal or not, you did pay with your Mastercard, so there's no reason for them to refuse to help.

It depends on the issuing bank of the cc How long you have to wait before you can't dispute. Most are 90 days but my bank is 1 year.
