What is the most beautiful orchid?
Okay, it's a subjective question, and there's no right or wrong.
But what do you think? What is in your opinion the most beautiful orchid? Bonus points for saying why. Extra bonus points for a photo or a URL!

I just posted this one in another forum, but to answer your question, Ascocentrum garayi has been my favorite orchid for the past couple of years. Just got this one:
First pic shows accurate color (when viewed on my iphone anyway.

I don't think there is a winner, just many ties. I buy most of my orchids a year or more from blooming size and as a few of these are finally blooming for me, I am honestly impressed. Pictures do not do them justice. Some are beautiful for long, graceful cascades and others for their intricate flowers. If there was a most beautiful, I'd have just ONE orchid. : )

One that is on top of my wishlist and which completely stunned me when I first saw a picture of it, was a Dtps. Leopard Prince 'Gold Leopard'. I'm a Phal girl so it's quite natural that my favourite should be a Phal, right? And this Phal is just so stunning and gorgeous that I don't care about the size of the flowers (I usually prefer more small blooming Phals) as long as I will, one day, get one of my own.
Here's a link to a picture of it: Dtps. Leopard Prince 'Gold Leopard'

I have many orchids that I think are beautiful, for different reasons, but I guess, if I had to pick one orchid, it would be a large classic cattleya, either light lavender or white, with a dark lip and lots of yellow or gold in the throat. The contrasting colors along with a nice fragrance is my idea of beautiful.

Oh wow this is a hard one. I'm privy to phals myself, and I tend to lean towards the rounded shapes with orange red and yellow colors. An example is tying shin Cupid 'Montclair'. But I also adore the species and few beat the class and simplicity of schilleriana, what with her delicate colors and a tea rose scent too.

My favorite is always the Euentha sanderiana.
With its classic form and colors.
The lip is chocolate with petals of pinkish lavender hue and the lower part of the petal is dotted with maroon spots. Its got long large pencil like roots and leaves that stretch to a couple of feet and can be as tall as 4 feet...
very easy to care for ... can withstand a lot of abuse and will survive bugs and bacterias and fungi
I have an 11 year old mother which gave me four keikis through the years that have now all bloomed for me
