Photos of the New York Botanical Gards Orchid Show
Hi all,
Went to the Orchid Show at NYBG today. Unfortunately most of the orchids are hyrbrids, well known cultivated hybrids that are not uncommon in our private collections. However, NYBG made a pretty show of it all. This year they show cased green walls by planting orchids on some green walls. I think they missed an opportunity to teach the public how to make green walls, but hey.
I didn't get the names of most of the orchids because most were unlabelled. But most of these are probably very familiar to many of you. Between all of us, we could probably name them all.
The first is Ascocenda Tubtim velvet x Vanda Kultana Gold
I think the second one is a Maxillaria of some sort??
