Oh, so so sorry to hear that. As I read it I felt gutted for you, I know just how I would feel. Sounds like it would have been gorgeous.

At least you know the seedling is now old enough to flower and will flower in your conditions, and hopefully it will have another go sooner rather than later.

Meh...I'm like a bull in a china shop - I always do stupid things on accident. An example is an Anguloa I just purchased: I almost broke off one of the new leads while I was checking it for bugs.

Don't be too hard on yourself. If the plant survives, I'm sure it'll grace you with flowers next year. You just need to be pateint.

Thanks everyone for the words of sympathy.

I knew that the members of OB would understand how I was feeling. She did suffer other damage that I didn't notice last nite. One of the top leaves was bent and now cracked but SuperGlue will come to the rescue for that!

Yes Rosie "gutted" is a very good word for what I felt.

Leafmite, I do that occasionally too but when there are more buds I don't feel quite this bad. But the whole spike..well you know how that feels.

Discus, I see you know too and those are some pretty blooms. Would have been spectacular with another 4 on her!

MALi, your having a run of bad luck yourself. Sorry about your myrticola but it sounds like the others will recover just fine.

Silken, yeah hubbys! I think mines secretly wishing all the orchids would disappear. Lol, not really he knows how much I love them. Bad Kitty! If (s)he's anything like mine he knew he was in trouble right away. Don't be too hard on him.

Angurek and Gage, Yes, I'll have to be patient. I know that it will bloom again. I was just so looking forward to the blooms after all this time.

AHHHH......the comradery of the OB, Gotta Love It!!
