Very lovely, but I see a hint of striping on the petals! I thought you didn't do stripes?

I've just gotten a reply to my email so it's no longer a NoID but a Phal. 'Tiny Doll'. Wee!

Oh, no! I have to go back with it, it's a stripy one!

Nah, I think I'll let it stay since the stripes aren't that prominent.

I hate to break it to you, but there is no Phalaenopsis registered with the name Tiny Doll, and the only resluts with that name was a Cattleya.

It might not be registered, but it has a name, so I'm not sad at all. Unless this means it's still a NoID?

Compared to one of my other NoID:s where the tag claimed it to be a Phal 'Black Glamour', at least this one seems to exist in more places than on my windowsill.

Unfortunately if you don't know the name of the registered parents then it is still a NOID. If that breeder is crossing unregistered hybrids without knowing the actual lineage then they are merely crossing NOIDs with NOIDs to produce yet more NOIDs. Like you and I they can call them anything they want, but they are still NOIDS unless you can trace the lineage. That said, it's very pretty and definitely has alot of pulcherimma in it.
