My windowsill.
I just took a photo of it due to the blooming of my yellow NoID to show how much it adds to the general sunny feeling of my windowsill.
What you see is the major part of my collection nicely squeezed together due to my mini-Phals sharing the sill and with them still being in quarantine, I don't want them too close to the rest. As a matter of fact, I think the fact that they're sharing the same windowsill is still too close for comfort. There's not much I can do about that though since I want the little guys to have as much light as possible to help them become stronger.
And yes, this is one of my windows and as you can see it's quite large with plenty of room for more chids.

Very nice set-up....
Maybe someday you will think of shelving in three tier frame as your collection grows bigger.
Also think of hooks up the ceiling a foot away from the glass to hang some of the mounted ones or the ones in a basket...

What a colorful windowsill!
As with most of the other windowsill growers here, you are going to find that in a short while a windowsill simply won't be enough anymore! My orchids multiplied so vigorously that I now have shelves with lights to grow most of them....

Bud and Camille, trust me - my mind is already planning on hooks in the ceiling, shelves, where to place extra lights and so on. The good part though is that I have another window almost as big as this one to fill up too, so I won't have to think about taking out the drilling machine just yet.

Unhealthily encouraged I took some more photos of my windowsill, this time I tried to get the four mini Phals into the picture which worked in two out of three photos. It just wasn't possible to get them in the last shot since I ran out of backing space...
My P. schilleriana is watching over the rest of the Phals from the top of what is probably the most butt-ugly pedestal in the history of ugly pedestals. But, hey, it was free and it fills its purpose.
In the future though, my schill and both of my stuartianas (which have yet to be shipped to me) are going to be placed into hanging pots. Maybe the Wiganiae too, we'll see.

Looks nice, I still see empty space!!!!
I've jealous by how much nicer your Wiganiae looks compared to mine. Mine's quite the scrawny thing, for some reason it hates having more than 3-4 leaves at once!

What a great windowsill! I'm jealous of all the 'real estate' you got for your orchids. They all look happy.

I love my windowsill. I had to measure it and it's 3.9m or 12' and 9.54", so there's plenty of room and just as Camille noticed - there's still space between the Phals. The other windowsill is unfortunately only 3m or 9' and 10.11", and this I haven't even started to fill yet.
Camille, I can't take any credit for my Wiganiae's appearance since I bought it like that. Maybe I should be glad that I haven't killed off any leaves yet though.
Not only do I have room for more chids on the windowsills, I have some very empty and boring walls in my kitchen as well. I'm thinking that some shelves would look nice on those bare and desolate walls and maybe a chid or two on said shelves would look even better.
Nononono, I do not have any plans what so ever for more chids, what gave you that idea?
