Multiplying behind my back
Ok, I do not know how this has happened. I have been claiming between 100 and 150 plants. I have felt guilty lately as I have thrown several away this winter due to bacterial problems. Well I just did the forbidden and counted my plants. Somehow they have been breeding behind my back. I am now at 212!!!!

OMG. How on earth do you manage to water and feed them? It must be a full time job!

Actually it isn't too bad. I do it in a couple different shifts a few days apart. And they are all inside!

That's what happens if orchids are left alone for longer periods of time, they tend to activate themselves by doing naughty things. It's the same with bunny slippers, leave them alone underneath the bed for too long and the next time you check you'll have several smaller bunny slippers besides the original pair.
This is all true.

I went to Lowes yesterday and they had just recieved a bunch of new bag babies and guess what, two of them were in my car when I got home!!! They were 2 huge Den. spectabiles, what a find in the bags. At $12.00 each I think that is a good buy. My daughter in law just told me that she thinks I have enough orchids now. I was very nice and told her that there is just no such thing. What I wanted to say was 'Its none of your damn businesss'...lol...Jean

I would love to have that many orchids, but I still have a full-time job. I could easily reach that number, there are so many beautiful orchids out there, waiting for a good home.

It is funny how they sneak in. One here, one there, four here, six there.... I realized last fall I had over forty (plus all the other plants) so I am trying not to get too many more. Unfortunately, the orchid society offers so many temptations! Plant sales, vendor visits, free orchids at Christmas, an orchid show....
