I'm so excited! I just recieved 2 new orchids and have another on the way! I'll post pics of that one when it comes too.

My goodness! those are happy healthy mounted plants...they are well established so its up to you to continue the regimen of watering and fertilizer...Good Luck !

Well..I got my Promenaea xanthina today....kind of a mixed bag to temper my excitement. The good news...large plant with a ton of roots and new growths. The bad news...came potted in a net pot PACKED in sphagnum moss...totally compacted, so in the process of removing the moss, I ended up breaking a lot of roots and one of the many developing shoots. I feel a bit meloncholy, hopefully the new shoots make enough root to replace the broken/cut ones.

Anyway..here is the final mount I made.

That is a neat mount. I see that the roots are robust. It will sustain the plant until it is established in its mount.

Yeah...the roots that didn't break in the process, though I suppose that they are probably still functional above the break at least.
