Many things..... Last winter, I scooped quite a bit of snow and melted it. The neighbors probably thought I was nuts. Finding the oyster shell for my single paph meant a long trip to an orchid dealer. I buy ten gallons of distilled water every few weeks which must raise a few eyebrows. Buying a single bag of lava rock at a local nursery always requires an explanation. And, currently, my brassavola is blooming and with the spouse and kids, it has been a challenge each night to find a place where they won't constantly flick on the lights (and leave them on). Next week, I'll be asking local businesses if they wish to buy advertising in our show booklet and if I can put up a poster. Lastly, when neighbors see all those pots, they always ask: Where do you put them all in the fall?
