Hail Storm Damage
We had a heavy hail storm yesterday afternoon that lasted for about 15-20 mins. I've been living here in So. Cali, Los Angeles area for over 14 yrs. but this is the first time I've seen this happen. The weight of the ice couldn't support the shade house and collapsed.
Most of my cymbidiums are in spike, some 1 gallon pots have up to 6 spikes. I was so devastated I had nightmares about my orchids last night. I didn't even have the chance to see the extent of the damage this morning because I had to go to a job orientation. After getting home from the job orientation I was able to see the damage. So far most of them looks okay but I probably wouldn't know until after a few days if there's any freeze damage. Luckily it was 70 degrees today so the ice in the backyard melted.

Hello everyone,
Thank you all for all the encouragement and I apologize for not getting back sooner. I just started a new job and still adjusting to a swing shift schedule.
Fortunately I don't see any major damage on my plants, only broken leaves and a few broken spikes. The shade house is still down and hopefully it doesn't get too cold so they can at least survive the winter.
