Thank you all. My pleione collection is now in Denmark LMAO! The roof needs to be fixed, my parrots are stressed to the Nth degree but at least I now know that my sheds can stand up to violent winds. Not sure if I can though lol.

It's back to a normal winter gale now, thankfully. Now I'm hoping the blizzard has decided to avoid us.

My, it did get a "tad blustery" there didn't it! Glad you're okay and hope the weather subsides.

I have outdoor aviaries, yes. The birds were stressed belong belief but they are a resilient bunch. They wouldn't come out into the open this morning but now they seem to be back to normal. I was really worried about them for most of the night but they are stronger than they first appear; as nature has shown, they have to be.

I remember having my blue fronted Amazon on my shoulder and staying well back from the windows when we had a tornado not far away. She seemed to actually enjoy the excitement. She made her happy noise and her pupils were dilating.
I'm glad that your birds are ok. That was the first thing I thought of. It must have been frightening.

Thank you. The poor things wouldn't come out of their nest boxes until this morning and now they're back to normal.

Geez, seems like you had it even worse than we did in the Netherlands! The wind was crazy insane, though luckily there was no structural damage. I had to go outside that evening, and literally got swept off my feet by a particularily vicious gust. Walking upright was impossible. It was quite freaky at home too. I live on the 20th (topmost) floor, and my ceiling lamp was swaying like crazy and I could feel the entire building vibrating.
Out on the coast was much worse, in the newspaper there was a photo of one of those tall white windmills with 2 of its 3 blades snapped clean off.
I hope that your roof isn't too badly banged up, but i guess you're lucky if that's the 'only' damage you got.
