Cool 300lb Grammatophyllum speciosum repotted!!

Hi everyone!

Not entirely sure where to post this, so the lounge seemed like a good place.

A friend of mine sent me these links. Apparently the Brooklyn Botanic Garden has a huge Grammatophyllum speciosum (estimated at over 300lbs!!!) that they repotted in 2010. My friend also sent me some pictures of the blooms this summer. The last time this orchid bloomed was in 2008 due to the high amounts of light and heat needed to initiate blooming and the lack thereof during Brooklyn winters.

Try to keep your eyes in your heads!

Didn't you just post a thread on how little space you had? I suppose you could mount or hang other orchids from one of these. That would save some space!
