My 'Chid Wishlist!
Well, seeing that winter is nearly upon us here in Canada, and it is now impractical to have orchids shipped, I have begun to make an orchid Christmas list (more like spring list, which is when I will be able to get them!), of all the 'chids out there from various genera that I have to get my hands on. Since there hasn't been anything new for me for a while (though I do have a few things in bud!), I thought I would share my wishlist with you, and maybe you could share your list of 'chids that you would die to have! So here it goes:

WOW!!! That is GIGANTIC!!! There is 120!!! And the craziest this is that I would be perfectly content getting anything from the above list, and there is only a few that I would pick above the others in the list. Oh, and another thing, I blame YOU people for about 50% of the plants that made their way onto this list, as you all are always tempting me with your pretties , so keep posting photos and watch this list GROOOOOOW. (Edit, those marked with *asterisks* are ones I would choose over the rest!)

I'm very into fragrant herbs/flowers and when I first got into orchids, I found a list online of fragrant orchids and made up a wish list from it. But, unfortunately, there were many, many names on that wishlist and I am now out of room. The ones that still remain on that list are: Blc goldenzelle 'lemon chiffon', Enclyclia Lancifolia, Enclyclia prismatocarpa, Encyclia randii, Encyclia phoenicea, Coelogne orcheacea/nitida, Coelogne memoria W Micholitz, Aerides houlletianum, Dendrobium anosmum, and Paphiopedium malipoense. Thankfully, I've never seen them except online so I will be safe from temptation. Yeah!

So Cody, When are you going to ask your parents to move out of the house to make room for all those chids???
I have so many on my wish list, I dare not start typing them all LOL

Hmmm, looks like a short list Cody. I'm sure you could find more room in your house.

Is that a challenge? If my parents would let me, I could put two stands downstairs, but as it stands (LOL!!!), I am only allowed to put one down there. And I think I could get two in my bedroom outside of my closet, but I don't think I could get three in there, as I would have to get rid of my TV. So, I could house a theoretical maximum of around 200 give or take a dozenish.

I have sort of 2 wishlists: The one with all the orchids I want, and the shorter one with all the orchids I want and have the right conditions to grow. It makes a huge difference sadly!
So on that smaller list, at the top there is:
*Phal equestris, different forms (I'm collecting them!)
*Phal equestris primary hybrids
*Phal speciosa C1
*Phal cornu cervi fma. chattaladae
*Phal violacea
*Paph Pinocchio
*Paph delenatii
*Paph micranthum
*Paph henryanum
*Neofinetia falcata, different types
*Den aberrans
*Den laevifolium
*Den harveyanum
*Soph cernua
*Soph brevipedunculata
.
.
.
.
The list goes on, but I can't remember anymore. The entire list is in my Orchidwiz journal wishlist.
