Silken, it was great seeing you in Calgary and once again: congratulations on your trophy. I can't say I showed restraint: after all somebody has to make it worth while for the vendors. I had ordered from Ecuagenera in July and was again very impressed with the plants. Pepe convinced me to buy a masd. andreatte and a lepanthes caprimulgus and meniscophora as well (I will have to learn to avoid him in future!). Orchideya: Ten Shin had really good plants (don't know how a phal. wilsonii, a phal lindenii and a phal minus found their way to me, but they did) and Ching Hua is always worth a visit. I left with enough gas money to make it back to Edmonton and am currently on an involuntary orchid diet. I had to sell some of my bigger paphs. to make place for these.
ezil, it was nice to meet you as well. It sounds like you kept the vendors in business! I have been busy potting and recording what I bought and as I put them out, I really feel that I have no more space this time for sure. So I am on a orchid diet too by necessity! Maybe I will see you in Edmonton at your show in a few month's time!
All this talj about shows is making me jealous! I WISH I COULD DRIVE AND HAD MONEY TO GO! Oh well, I guess I will just have to spend all of my money at once come spring (I think I am going to keep Cloud's in business for a LONG time)!

Before you know it you will be driving and spending money elsewhere also

Thank you Ezil. It's nice to hear that Ten Shin has good plants and it makes me even more anxious to go.
You picked up rather interesting phals, do we get to see pictures?
Ching Hua is not on the list of vendors at our show
Have fun at the show. That's a great start to your shopping! I have had bare root plants a number of times and in general these all seemed far better than I've ever seen. I got the Onc. ones from Ching Hua and the roots were so good and massive, I couldn't believe they could stuff them into such teeny pots with a bit of moss for shipping. It was like a magician pulling more and more out of a hat when I took them out!
Thank you Silken. I sure will have fun. I am still new to orchids, it will be only my second show to attend, which makes it very exciting.

Ching Hua does a few shows in Canada so you could check their website to see where they will be next. Crystal Star Orchids in Ontario also carries a lot of Ching Hua's orchids so check their lists if you are anywhere near to them. But you will find many vendors at the show and lots to buy
