Beautiful plants I love getting orchids from Schwerter but don't order there as much as I would want since their shipping fees are quite expensive.

Hi Camille, I finaly got it - my psychopsis, and it is already in spike luckily. Yes the shipping is very expensive but I would rather pay that than have someone else sell me rubbish (as has happened to me quite recently). As they say, you pay for what you get. Is it also expensive to have them shipped to France? I though that it would be reasonable for you.

It's the same price to ship anywhere in the EU. Yes Schwerter is a very good grower, but I also buy from other great growers that happen to have lower shipping costs (also depends on whether I'm in France or the Netherlands when I'm ordering. Nardotto e Capello is Italy is my favorite but shipping to NL is something like 28€, and only 12€ to France). I'll buy from those if I can so I save some money, but if Schwerter has stuff that I really must have, then I order there

Lucky you to get the Psychopsis in spike! I think it still has some growing to do, mine didn't make a bud until it was 90cm tall. Mine's working on bloom #3, seems like I get one per month.

I have ordered from them before... & with Camille about them being more expensive. I have in the past been happy with them.
I have just Today started the beginning of my first 'Bad' experience of shipping & it's with them.
My plants have apparently been delivered back to them.
They have sent me an email to tell me this.They ask if the shipping address is correct? It is (have ordered before, & plants arrived)
next thing on e-mail is basically:
a) I agree with them refunding my money on paypalor
b) I agree to them re-sending at an extra cost to myself & paying an extra €22.50! for postage!!!!!
I answered saying that Yes my address was correct & that I had already received parcels from them. in the past .

They want you to pay shipping AGAIN??? Talk about expensive plants! I suppose that if you chose option A that you wouldn't get a refund on the original shipping cost?

Last time I ordered I did have an issue with a Phal seedling that arrived completely rootless, and I had a hard time convincing them to give me a refund on it. They finally agreed, but not by returning money to my account. It gets taken off my next order. I think their customer service could be a bit better.... A shame since their plants are awesome overall.

I'll have to give Nardotto e Capello. I love finding new orchid suppliers- you never know what you might find. Yes I am so glad that it came in spike, it was reduced too. 17 euros as opposed to 22 so all in all a great bargin. They have a beautiful phrag that I have my eyes on next -after all of the many other orchids that I have yet to acquire!!

Wow I almost had the same problem. I had to go to the depot to collect my package as they had delivered it yesterday but my doorbell doesn't work so they took it back to the depot. It was supposed to be sent out to me today but it was still waiting at the depot so I walked to the depot to collect it instead!! My plants were ok as you can see. I wouldn't have been able to pay for them to be delivered again, not for a while anyway.
