New orchids arrived!
From Claessen Orchideeen in the Netherlands. Great service. I also have a backorder coming up, I'll update when it does ofcourse!
I had already posted in another forum, but wanted to start participating and stop lurking here too.
The chids are all slightly bigger than it looks like in the pictures, b/c of the angle. I liked the sun and the table as a background
I also had a lot of freebies, 2 catt's, the onc. twinkle, the second neofinetia..
Great ^.^
Gorgeous looking Paphiopedilum Philipinense
Neofinetia Falcata hybrid and Catt. Aclandiae
Neofinetia Falcata hybrid and Onc. Twinkle
Psychopsis Mariposa, which decided to bloom with it's face to the sky
Hence the weird photo
Dendrobium hybrid with three buds, now 2 are opened. It's really cute!
Also, this one had gotten a little jumbled in the package. The two pbulbs were already loose from eachother. I didn't see any damage anywhere, so I'm not sure if it got divided or if these were two plants to begin with..
And Masdevallia Paivaeana and Masd. Ayabacana
For the rest, see

Great plants! Looks like my question of where you got the plants (in the mounts thread) has been answered.)
Claessen is one of my favorite growers, I've never once had a problem with plants. His prices did go up a bit in the last few years, but I'm not complaining! I ordered some plants end of August, and now I'm planning another order after the NOV-dag show in 2 weeks, in case I find some of the plants there.
I have the same Den hybrid (but got it somewhere else). It stays a very compact plant and once yours grows a bit more you can expect spikes with at least a dozen blooms on them. Prolific bloomer as well, I'm constantly getting spikes.

Well and he has the right of it! His plants are great. And not near as expensive as some of the prices I hear people mention.
NOV-dag?

I agree, he definitely is much cheaper than many growers. Rik is very helpful too,2 years ago I and another dutch orchid friend were looking for Haraella odorata. Rik managed to get us some Haraella from his suppliers
NOV = Nederlandse Orchideeën Vereniging
agenda
It's a great show because most of the vendors there are amateur growers. So you can get some amazing plants for a very small price. Last time I went was 2 years ago, and I picked up a blooming size Leptotes bicolor for 2€. I usually come away with 6-8 plants for less than 40€ if I shop around well. Normally the show is on this year, but there are some communication problems between the NOV and the Utrecht botanical garden. NOV insists it's happening, but the gardens say it's not in their agenda. NOV was going to sort it out when I emailed about it, and I'm assuming that there are no problems now.

I know! He gave me 6 free plants with this order, all in all, and emailed 20 times with me to and fro about planting details, webshop troubles etc.
He's very dyslexic though, so his emails are hard to read sometimes. Endearing
When is the show, are you a member...tell me more! Or wait, we'll take that on pm.
Well, what more is there in Wageningen, btw, to get back to the other thread
No it's fun, I've a lot of friends there, I started out at Biopharmacy in Leiden.
Also, I'm unable to get onto the NOV forum, apparently my email adress is banned must be some bug.

It's a shame I can't really discuss with him, my dutch is still quite poor (starting proper lessons in October!) and he doesn't speak any English. My dutch friend took care of all the communication.
You couldn't open the link I posted? The show is on October 1st in the greenhouses of the Utrecht botanical garden, from 10 to 3. I'm not a member of the NOV even though there are 2 'Kringen' near me (utrecht and Arnhem). The language barrier is the problem, many members are older people who don't really speak English.

Okay, so I've been trying to pm you since yesterday, but nothing happens! I'll try and figure this out. Meanwhile, where to chat??
