I've got the orchid bug again...
AND BOY DO I HAVE IT BAAAAAAAAAD!
In the passed two weeks i have ordered all of the following. I've received a few and am still waiting for others:
Psychopsis Mendenhall v alba 'Yellow Butterfly' (received)
Psychopsis Mariposa 'Mountain' (received)
Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos' FCC/AOS (received)
Miltonia Maui Mist
Odcdm. Mini Mutany 'Spring Fever'
Burr. Austin Powers 'Sweet Summer Morn'
Odm. Serendipity 'Yellow Mellow'
Oncidium Sharry Baby (recieved, the spike was 3ft long but unfortunately broke during shipping)
Blc. Samba Splendor 'Carmela'
Blc. George King 'Serendipity'
Blc. Owen Holmes 'Encore'
Otaara Hwa Yuan Bay 'She Shu'
Blc. Pamela Finney 'Victory'
Lc. Mari's Song 'CTM 217'
Masdevallia Ted Khoe (orange)
Masdevallia Aquarius (yellow)
PHEW! .... that's all of them. My birthday is in 11 days, and i'm afraid of what's next. I think I see an Onc. lanceanum, Psychopsiella limminghei, Dracula vampira, Dracula bella, Vanda Pachara Delight (blue), and a Vanda Robert's Delight (red) in my near future.
I should be saving for a car. I've had my license for quite some time now and yet to have something to drive.

You might as well forget about the car. Once you start growing orchids, any free money will be quickly burned.

Ohhh Franco !!! Welcome back to the club !!! You should look into converting a portion of your closet into a growth area like Cody has done. Your room is going to look like an amazonian jungle comes winter.

That's for sure Roly! And I was actually thinking about that not to long ago. Clearing out the closet and taking the doors off and hanging lights ... My parents would kill me.
For now I shall live with my jungle.

My parents are the opposite, they want my 'chids grown in my bedroom closet out of sight, and would kill me if I tried growing them in the common areas.
And by the way, it would be a better idea to leave the doors on, otherwise it would be impossible to keep the humidity in.

My can't get any more humid. My other hobby is fishkeeping. So according to the thing the humidity is 51.8% at this moment ... and we have all the windows open.

What I have in my closet is trays of leca balls filled with water, which helps raise the humidity in a confined space quite a bit.
