Oh, now I get it!
I've seen a couple posts about people who suddenly realized their orchid was in bloom but never saw the signs until the flowers. Well, it finally happened to me. I will post pics when they open, but I have a Catt. that blasted it's last set of buds just before they opened, has 2 dry sheaths, and I just found 2 flowers about to open on a new growth. I never even got a sheath on that growth! Ah well, I will not complain because I am getting flowers!!!!

Well, at least you noticed them before they popped open. About 33% of the time with my Catts they bloom from pbs with no sheaths. The first time it happened to me with a Potinara was when I was 14. I was so disappointed that it did not produce a flower that year and then that winter it started forming buds from that growth and my jaw dropped.

catts. I'm sorry to say my few sheaths got burned in the sun when I didn't take in acct the sun is taking longer to get to the 12 noon dead zone..Moved the dead zone back a few feet and seem to be okey now. No soft black crapped out leaves or soggy crab flippers overnight anymore. Im jealous and have to go buy another plant now
keep it up!!! and Ill have one of everything!!
crab flippers = sheaths

I'm glad to be doing the enabling! Your pot of neos makes me want to go on a shopping spree. I just lost my neo and want to find another.

Alright, here are the picks of my recent blooms. The quality isn't good as I took them with my cell phone. Here is Slc. Jeweler's Art "Waiomao Plum" HCC/AOS

Jonada
those colors are fantastic! They must light up the room. I love the mini catts and mini dends. You deserve them after your disappointing start with this little gal. I'm thinking of trying a little vanda sometime in the future.
Good growing,
Tony
