Congrats on the blooms!

This happens a lot with orchids whose flowers grow close to the substrate, or those who have flowers held low in the foliage. I've gotten my share of surprise bloomers in the past.

Thank you all for the great words of encouragement. I so love the colors on her. There is a peachy tone near the yellow. She is in a six inch pot, was recently repotted, and must really have appreciated the new medium. I would repot her monthly if this is what happened. Anyway, very glad you like her and very glad to finally be able to share some blooms!

Just keeps getting better. The blooms are FRAGRANT!!!! Took a couple of days for the scent to appear, but it is very nice and the colors are getting deeper.
