Default A Very Nice Surprise Indeed!

So, Hubby springs a surprise on me!

I come home from work the other day and he tells me he's sorted out my Birthday present, this is unusual as he very good at keeping gifts hidden. I raise a suspicious eyebrow, and he continues to tell me that we will be camping on my birthday weekend down in Peterborough. My brain starts to try and work out why (not easy after a hard shift at work), then he smiles and tells me he's got tickets to the Peterborough International Orchid Show! Even better is it is part of the East of England Show, so lots to see and do besides over plants.
Though dragging me away from the green lovelies may be a challenge
It's even on over my Birthday weekend. Bonus!

So why has he told me early? Just so I have a chance to pre-order

And there was me thinking I wouldn't be able to go to an Orchid show this year for various reasons. Resigning myself to popping on the boards and having a look at other people show pictures, which is nice enough in and of itself. And now!? Well time to have a preview of what the traders have to offer and see if I can't reserve at least one of the many that are making it on to the wish list as time goes by!

I'm really going to have to do something special for his Birthday this year! He's not too much into the whole plant thing like me, but I just had to sing his praises! I'm so lucky

For those who want to know here's the relevant link
Home

PS: Sorry again, had to share.... I'm so excited! Now, to make more space and browse Internet!

Oh wow, great news!

I'm so envious. I had been planning to go ever since someone mentioned it as being a great show when we were at Tatton Park last year. But Hubby has also been planning to go to a different event ever since about the same time last year. We only realised about a week ago that they are both on the same weeked

I've reluctantly let hubby have his choice. He's always so good about my orchids, and his event is more likely to not happen next year, where as (hopefully) the orchid show should happen again next year.

Take lots of pics so I can see what I'm missing

Have a really good time. I know you will

Thanks Rosie,
Sorry to hear you can't come But on the brighter side, Good Hubbies deserve their rewards too

I'll be sure to take as many pictures as I can. That is if I can stop looking at the plants long enough to remember
I've got that kid before Christmas feeling

Rosie,
One of the reasons I like this site so much is the fact that I no longer feel like I'm weird just because I get so enthusiastic about Chlorophyll Beauties.
It's nice to share the excitement.

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll have a great time. Really looking forward to it. Tickets have arrived and are safe.

Photo's! Yes! Must have many many pictures. Even considering opening a Flickr account, just so I can post plant pics there.

Daethen & bellini girl,
"Very good man there." & "What a guy!"
Oooooh Yes! Indeed. And he's all mine! Luckily (or is that strangely ) he doesn't want to escape my clutches .... Sorry... I'll stop being soppy

11 Days to go! Whoopee!
