Wow, that is ridiculous!! When their orchids start putting out white blooms, like Abigail said, we will be getting new members on the OB asking why their blue orchid is all of a sudden a white orchid.

Ive actually seen these types at the shows and have to be honest am extremely upset that they are even allowed in them without proper representation of what exactly will happen very soon.
I know I have actually grilled a few people and they just lie lie lie.

Not only the price and the misrepresentation, but did you see the feedback? Thirty (30!!!!) negatives in one month and almost all because the seller refused to communicate re dead plants, plants not received, etc.! Anyone who buys from these people is a bigger fool than the seller.

Ron, I get the feeling that the people that are buying these orchids aren't people who grow them normally. These plants are touted as being "unique" and the uninformed masses flock to them thinking they are getting something special. I feel for the people who don't know what's really going on. The people selling them need to be ashamed of themselves for not giving full disclosure on how that plant is so blue and what you will end up with in the end. People that grow orchids know that these plants are fakes and that there are much more interesting and beautiful plants that get their spectacular colors and shapes in a more natural way. 5 years ago, before I started growing orchids, I may have fallen for such a plant, I am now better informed about orchids.

You are probably right, Amanda, and what reaqlly irritates me are the guys like this who take advantage of people.
