Oh the stress!!! Your list is to drool over and whatever you paid: it's a bargain! Let's face it: there are so many orchids to choose from, finding all the ones you've been eying FOREVER in one place, and at such a good price - - well who could/would pass up the savings in shipping. And after all: you only bought small ones. Can you just imagine what big ones would have cost? Isn't your better half lucky that you are such a level headed, careful hobbyist!

OMG! This is hilarious! Thankfully I don't have to worry about hiding my new arrivals. . . . . my parents knew I was getting them before they arrived!

Tee-hee! I know, right? It's also Mother's Day this Sunday!!! So I was like, honey, what are you gonna get me for the Mother's Day? Long story short, I'm getting an order from Orchids.com in an hour (I hope!). They had several types of Phal. equestris, and I'm going nuts over this species, so there

Orchids are such a great gift, because in the right hands, they will just keep making you happy year after year.
Oh you know you wanna get that Phal. venus, don't you?!!!!!

One of my favorite excuses was to tell my hubby that words out that I love to take care of orchids, so people give them to me to orchid-sit while they are away or nurse back to health for them. He asked one time why no one ever reclaims them. I just say they think I do a better job of caring for them...or something to that effect. Not sure if he bought that, but he's stopped asking.
Also, as the seasons change, I rearrangement my chids according to their sun needs...therefore he doesn't know how many I have cause they are always being moved around.
Yup, he's totally given up.

I got these seedlings:
Phal. cornu-cervi chattalade form ****
Mounted Phalaenopsis species baker's dozen *
Angraecum distichum
Cattleya bowringiana ****

Hoping they are small enough so that I can hide them those who might not think it a wise purchase.

I wish you luck with Olympic Orchids!!! Ellen was not very nice to me, and all I had was simple questions and she screwed up my order and blamed me on it lol. Happy with the plants none the less, all are growing new roots and look good! They are rather small so you should have an easy time hiding them=)
