No Vandas?????
Well, the local orchid show is going to be held this weekend. I was there til 7pm to help the vendors setup their sales plants and show plants.
As I looked around the sales side, there are absolutely no Vandas/Ascdas. Who inivted those vendors....?
Anyway, I am looking forward to the show.

AHAHAHAHA! That is HILARIOUS! I guess when you are dedicated (or addicted ) to a specific type, you tend to notice that kinda stuff! I normally shy away from the Ascdas/Vandas due to the thought that I don't have enough light and space, but I have just recently realized that I have the room and PLENTY of light! I think I might dip my toes into the smaller Ascdas! I am CRAZY to think that I will be able to only have a few if they grow well for me!

Naoki it was the same at our show 2 weekends ago. (Probably a similar group of vendors) They mostly brought big floofy Catts, a boatload of Cymbidiums, and of course Briggs Hill brought lots of Bulbos and Pleuros. I worked our show for 3 days straight, and can you believe it....I didn't buy anything! What the???... Have fun!

Oh no, Terri. That is saaaaaaaad.
Ivan from Ecuagenea(?) is here, but I cannot grow any of his plants. They look so intriguing, though.
I might have to expand my collection to Aerangis from Botanica. They are cute. My only hope is Emerald City Orchids, which just arrived as I left.
Anyway I am ready to go back to work.

The first day was amazing. Lots of people bought lots of plants. One of my Vandas, Robert's Delight 'Big Blue' received the best Vandaceous plants in the show. So, I got $20 gift certification from the society.

Fantastic!! People who can grow Vandas well in our climate have my respect for life!
The only one I ever had I killed. I decided to try again though. I traded one of the Masd. I had for sale for an Ascda. Thai Classic 'Tweety Bird'. It's in a treefern "pot", so we'll see how it goes.

Thank you, Terri.
I love Masides, but they really do not like to sit next to my Vandas. Lol. Theresa Hill is here to sell them. I just smile and walk away.
Good luck on your new Ascda. If you are looking for anything, just PM me. I am at show all day til 5. I have an access to this board.
