A few pictures of the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens
I went to NYBG, and they have an orchid show running now till mid April. I myself was not very impressed with the types of specimens they had for show. But I was impressed by the beauty of the displays.
The reason I was a bit dissapointed was because the shop at the NYBG had more species than the show its self!
Most of the orchids in the show where hyrbids, many of them repeated tons of times. It was like you were there just to see the different ways they could arrange them.
Kinda boring.
I did manage to find some species and one or two hybrids that really caught my eye.
Here they are.
Zygopetalum maculatum
Prosthecea chimboraroensis, Check my spelling on that one please.
Phaius tankervilleae
Paphiopedilum lowii
Laelia superbiens
Arpophyllum spicatum
Cattleya x guatemalensis
No Idea what it is other than a Catt.
